Ryan does an outstanding job navigating the tightrope between belief, non-belief, secular humanism, and social justice. He speaks up with intelligence, humility, kindness, compassion, and genuineness. We both began our journeys of life after god in late 2015. His guidance and presence have meant...Read full review »

The content is okay, the host is okay, the guests are okay. I think the show is just okay. Some episodes are awesome while some are boring. I think the podcast just needs a slight tune up.

If you can wade through the frequent trite and saccharine wokeness, there are often some very interesting discussions hosted by Ryan. But it is heavily woke, and that can be annoying.

Liked the EP on the “family” The rise of fundamental Christianity has reached Australia, traditionally a secular society, respecting faith but keeping it out of public life. There is evidence the the American evangelicals have pushed influence into Australian life with money and political...Read full review »

Like Ryan, I am also a former SDA now non-theist and really appreciate his positive humanism views through this podcast. His guests give great perspectives on growing out of their original religious backgrounds and the real process that led them to where they are today.

This is one of my favorite podcasts! I can truly relate to the topics discussed in this channel. The conversations are about what I have experienced in my own life, and I feel connect to people like me. Ryan has been a pastor and he understands how an apostatized feels; and his guests are bright...Read full review »

Thank you for a humankind approach to discussing religion. The episode with #leaving the pew guest really spoke to me . Excellent podcast- there is such a need for people leaving religious groups and sects to feel there is a space and a community for them to talk about their experiences and how to move forward.

I listened to the episode Ryan Bell hosted with Jennifer Michael Hecht and thought it was awesome. Ryan is a thoughtful, empathic person who speaks himself in heartfelt ways, but really let the guest shine. I'm impressed that Ryan is able to keep his own voice in the midst of exploring topics...Read full review »

Well formatted, structured, and thorough. Ryan asks great questions but explains too much, concise interviewing would be a good improvement. I did hope Ryan would be a new kinder version of Hitchens. Good news is the fourth opening for the Horsemen is still open, if Penn hasn't accepted the...Read full review »

Long-story-short: I'm a former Mormon who struggled to try to maintain faith in Christ and God after my disaffection from the LDS Church. More than six years ago now, I finally admitted to myself that I was no longer a theist or even a deist. It’s been a challenging yet fulfilling and...Read full review »

I think I've listened to every episode of this podcast since it started, and every single one has been worthwhile.
