I can’t stop listening to this story. Niamh and her family are unforgettable. The voices across the episodes are haunting. It’s an amazing series. I hope new information comes to light about Niamh as a result of this podcast

Case file covered his case so thoroughly and didn’t leave any stone unturned. You can tell how personal this became for the team.

Great storytelling and research; however, the podcaster’s montone reading voice was distracting from the story. The multitude of interviews from family, police, friends, and others almost made up for it.

A really interesting deep dive on the case, but really, how can Australian’s have her name be so terribly mispronounced?!

An incredibly well researched delve into what may have happened to Niamh, naive police

I am always impressed by the quality of work put into Casefile Presents podcasts. This case is heartbreaking, but I think the team did a great job bringing Niamh’s case to light and discussing the different theories. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Niamh. This podcast really made...Read full review »

When I first discovered Casefile, there were only 5 episodes to immediately binge, bc I was sick at the time. I immediately fell in love with the focus on the victims and absolute lack of fascination for perpetrators the anonymous Host displays. He feels like a strong moral presence that makes...Read full review »

Why didn’t her family just change the spelling of her name to Neve? It was such a distraction and seemed like a very odd solution to give a child a name and then mispronounce it the rest of her life. Moving on though, the case isn’t so much unsolved as un-prosecuted. It’s not a huge mystery who...Read full review »

I couldn’t get past the fact that her name is being pronounced ‘Niam’. I’ve worked with women with the name Niamh and it’s pronounced ‘Neve’. It is disrespectful to the victim to not even be able to say her name correctly, and immediately gave me red flags on the accuracy of the podcast.

This podcast series is very, very good. One of the best Australian true crime series so far. Very sad story, but well told, with touching insights from Niamh's beautiful & thoughtful family. I hope this helps them to find Niamh.Read full review »

I see that someone beat me to the punch on this, but the monotone is very detached. I really found it hard to get through because I just felt like the narrator was reading a script and don’t care very much about the case.

Great show and very well researched.

A tragic tale and reminder to us all that regional Australia is not as safe as we might wish to believe.

Intricate & sensitive storytelling. The case is very sad. Niamh’s family deserve closure & I hope this podcast has brought them closer to that. It loses a star as the beginning was too drawn out but the ending is perfect and made me cry. The contributions from Niamh’s parents are...Read full review »

Would love to listen to this but the awful AI narration is unbearable. Gave up after about 5 mins.
Kezla70 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 10/18/24
The storytelling is captivating. I felt like I knew the family and could picture every scene thanks to the skilled presentation. Thorough investigation (recreating the walk past a home for example). Thank you for bringing this case back to life.

I always listen to Casefile and whatever show is associated with it. I must admit that this one is by far my favorite of them all. The research is so well done, to the details. Like when the road-worker took his pauze. And I must say: I am so happy to hear Casey doing one of the investigations...Read full review »

The Anonymous Host says he’s been researching the case for several years, yet he can’t pronounce her name right. It’s an Irish name and it’s pronounced Neeve. How are you honouring the person who’s disappeared if you haven’t bothered to learn her name???
MalinaNG via Apple Podcasts · Switzerland · 10/17/24
I really wanted to get into this … but the mispronunciation of the girls name (it comes from Irish) drove me… insane!!! The pronunciation should be ‘neeve’, maybe her whole life she was called Niahm but it just drove me mad!

5 stars. I want to send love to Niamh’s family. If you’re ranking this low because you don’t like the way the family pronounce their own daughter's name, you got a lot of growing up to do. To the Casefile team, you have done a great job. Today (16/10/24) marks my 8th year of listening to...Read full review »

This was spellbinding…binged the entire podcast and was riveted the entire way through. Well researched, documented and painstakingly told as always by the anonymous host.

This is interesting, well-told and -researched, but should have been 6-8 episodes, not 12. Too much. Heartbreaking for her family. Perhaps a cultural thing of related to the time, but the whole "picking" thing seems so I'll-advised for young women!Read full review »

Riveting—I binged this in less than a week. As a longtime book editor, I appreciated the mix of personal stories and interviews along with both true-crime and human-interest narrative, and the “plot development” is spot-on. The amount of research required for this thorough and compelling...Read full review »

I’ve been a fan of Casefile and Casefile Presents for years, and I think this is the best one yet. Really well written and presented in a genuine way that really humanises Niamh as more than another missing woman. I do hope her lovely family are able to find Niamh to lay her to rest. Informative and well told. Episodes are not too long and each has new information (not recap after recap like some true crime pods). Very respectful towards the victim and her family. Those complaining about the pronounciation should listen further to hear the explanation.

This is how you do a long podcast series. There is some beautiful writing, it’s thorough and detailed, respectful, and there’s no chest-beating. Great to hear the anonymous host on the ground and be reminded that he is more than a voiceover reader. He’s got to be an investigative journalist, in...Read full review »

Couldn’t listen. Delivery sounds like it is AI generated which might explain the pronunciation of Niamh. I don’t buy the excuse that Australians struggle with the pronunciation. If you can say Steve then you can say Niamh

Long time listener of casefile. This series, like all the work y'all do, is informative and includes thorough retrospective analysis of the evidence. Love any podcasts this guy makes. He is so easy to listen to and so good at getting the story out. I feel for the family and hope they get answers (they may have already, I haven’t finished the podcast yet)

I listened to 1 minute of this AI narrator voice. Unbearable. I am sure it is an important case, shame.

The narrator sounds like it’s AI, it’s very long l winded and repetitive which is a shame as the story is interesting. It’s a very sad case. I think the story could have been told in a better way.

As someone the same age as Niamh, I felt pulled back to the time she went missing… when (as the podcast said), it seems like your entire future is in front of you. This podcast was really well done.
