2 Thumbs up, way up!
This podcast has been one of the most wonderful discoveries of my life. When my daughter was diagnosed with pronounced ADHD, I looked for something to help her. In doing so, I stumbled onto one of the best things I've found for myself. As it turns out, the apple did not fall far from the tree, and I have lived my life with undiagnosed ADD. I thank God for the compassionate and optimistic way that this podcast deals with the ADD struggles. My disasterous organization skills have cost me professionally and personally, particularly in my marriage. I didn't need another voice telling me how screwed up I am and incompetent I am at organizing - I am intensely aware of it and it has been deeply internalized. Guilt and shame I have enough of. But that was then, this is now. I have been given a new lease on life, and Nikki and Pete have given me the most precious gift I could ask for - hope and tangible steps to successfully navigate life with my condition, and acceptance and love for who I am, ADD and all! I'm not where I want to be, but I'm not where I was! After 40+ years of defeated struggle, I finally have strategies in place that are helping me make tangible progress toward a life I couldn't imagine a few years ago. Most importantly, I am motivated to make these changes so that my daughter won't have to be cursed with the struggles that I have experienced. Thanks Nikki and Pete for the gift of this podcast. I can't thank you enough for what it has done for me.Read full review »
