“Host David Crowther has an easy manner and an English accent- something The British History Podcast and the Renaissance English History Podcast lack (btw, I'm an American with a Boston accent). He makes sorting out all those similar names, from the "Aefthlyred" to the "William/Mathilda" eras, pretty easy. This is mainly a record of what the major players were up to as the records, esp. between the Romans and the Normans, can be scattershot. However, and thankfully, Mr. Crowther takes his time to dedicate episodes to the ground-level history of everyday Britons. His website for the show is also a handy reference guide to sort out the players and events.
Fans of the above mentioned shows and The History of Rome will be interested in checking this podcast out.”Read full review »

I download both podcasts the moment they are released and it’s a toss...”Read full review »

In that respect,...”Read full review »
