I’ve been listening to this so much! I think that William might have ended up in the woods. But when you were looking for Karlie one of the houses you nocked on had someone that lives there named Tyrell. That may have been William. And why yall hateing? Nothing is perfect.

I was looking forward to this podcast, especially the covering of the Colonial inquest and went into it fairly broad minded but we have yet another podcast firmly in the foster mothers corner and lots of personal opinion from Dan. This is not investigative journalism. On paper the Fosters just...Read full review »

Missing $49 seemed to have potential at the start but then it quickly spiraled into a biased political podcast. Instead of being objective and reporting facts about an Australian businessman and his missing millions, it turned into a political opinion piece about American politics and Trump....Read full review »
No objectivity, waste of time via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/12/24
Seems like an excuse for the journalists to simply pontificate. They’d be wise to follow the coroner’s advice to present the facts, not give opinions. Comes across as undue criticism of the police while not critically evaluating other perspectives.
jezza.belle via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 11/11/24
It’s easier to call bias then to admit you are wrong. When facts and evidence, or lack there of in this case, don’t fit with their irrational and uneducated narrative they attack the narrator. A man who is simply presenting all of the facts that can and have been proven. Every key person involved...Read full review »

I feel this is totally anti the foster parents so disagree with the previous reviewer. They talk about the foster mother being calm on the 911 call, but you can clearly hear her voice shaking and she’s trying to remain calm and in control. People react differently to stress - fight or flight....Read full review »

I can see why reviewers are saying it’s biased… it does seem to be favouring the foster family. It’s definitely a slow build podcast - I get the feeling that it’s gaining momentum (hoping). It’s beginning to look like the police theory doesn’t really stack up against any evidence. I think...Read full review »

Quite possibly the worst podcast I’ve ever listened to. Listening to the emotions of the narrators over substance is cringeworthy. Absolutely nothing learnt here over what could be found in the HeraldSun. Total garbage.

Love this story ., my heartbreaks for the little boy and the biological mother and father and grandma Do they not give polygraph people there ?

I’m not sure why it being hailed as “landmark” when it’s just the same stuff over again? Interested to see what happens in the inquest but it’s shocking that an “investigative” series is so obviously leaning towards a bias and won’t entertain the idea that police might be right. Not keen on this...Read full review »

Boring. The journalist has nothing new to add to the case instead he has a fine old time riffing into the microphone about how much smarter he is than other journalists, the police, etc. Yet another example of male self aggrandising.
Nene Hatum via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 11/09/24
The journalists are on the side of the Foster parent, it’s not a fair assessment. Don’t get it

I had a dream about William he was showing me a crown 👑 I said to him is that because your a king 🤴 he then shows me a queen of hearts card I wasn’t sure what he meant and then I saw him rolled up in a rug and a car going down a dirt track with water next to it like an old fishing track I still...Read full review »

In this podcast they mention the foster mothers drive 1km away from the house straight after William disappeared. What this podcast fails to address is that it took five days for the foster mother to tell police she drove her mothers car down a bush road. The foster mother searches the yard,...Read full review »

I’ve never had a reaction like this to a podcast. I’m just annoyed consistently. Annoyed and aggravated. From the start of episode one it is so obvious this is a ‘the stepmother is not guilty’ podcast. I don’t know if she is or not, but this podcast is so biased. My heading says it all. Biased garbage. In the latest episode, there is an expression of incredulity as to why a police officer was questioned as to Gary Jubelin’s reasoning during the inquest instead of Jubelin himself … it’s because Jubelin is an unreliable narrator Dan!

I’m on episode 3 and I’ve given up….this is just a piece of propaganda to paint the foster parents as perfect angels and everybody else, including the police, as evil and corrupt. This is not good journalism but it’s produced by news.com.au so not sure why I expected anything better. Don’t bother.

Although the podcast fleshes out William’s life to a certain degree, some of the lines of investigation are inappropriate. Confirmation bias is rampant in this extremely basic and cringe worthy podcast. Very well balanced. The nerve of the biological family bleating about how unfair it all is, really, had they done what was expected of them as parents they wold not have found themselves in this predicament - shame on you. One word, ACCOUNTABILITY.

When she started describing Campus Crusade as a mega church I realized she failed to do basic google research. The end was such a dud and she found absolutely zero proof of anything.

It would be great if this podcast could get to the actual point. The first episode spends so much time talking about how William’s story has been lost without ever beginning the story. Tell the story. Stop talking around the story.

Why hound the grandmother then say you won’t air what she said as she has bad opinions on them? This podcast sounds very biased trying to explain the foster parents actions. Why did foster mum say he call his actual parents mum and dad? Something very fishy with them.
