I am finding this podcast so interesting and unlike some who don’t like the recap at the beginning and the music that honestly doesn’t bother me at all!! It’s the insight into what is going on in the courtroom and trial information that I find so interesting. Thank you all involved in the...Read full review »

I’m only on episode 10 but I am listening to your podcast any chance I can get. I’m in Australia and had only read news reports about this nurse and the charges. Not only are the courtroom reports that you give in this podcast compelling, but the insight into the UK justice system and the...Read full review »

The story is interesting and hosts good but the updates each week are very short. The interlude music is tedious and very frequent . Also the first 3mins of each episode is a script which is unnecessary.

Like other reviews, the tediously long intro which is disproportionate to the bite size podcasts, jarring piano music and monotone acting really let down what is otherwise a really interesting listen. I wish they were longer too, I think more details of the case rather than the tangential...Read full review »

Thank you Liz and Caroline for an excellent podcast . The facts are delivered in a professional and concise way . Some have complained about the text being monotonous but if they are too animated , it might prejudice the trial . There are strict regulations in place . In-depth discussion will...Read full review »

Great coverage of the case!

I haven’t been able to stop listening after just one episode. Delivered beautifully by the hosts.
Amy0686 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 04/28/23
Good podcast and informative about what is a complex case. Easy to follow in bite size chunks. I know people are complaining about monotonous reading of texts but I imagine its because they can’t infer emotions behind the text due to the ongoing trial. They’d be in breach of regulations.

Thank you Liz… in between eerie piano intervals. Other than that a fascinating case.

Really want to listen to follow the case but the music is terrible, and I find the presenters bland and monotone. Shame, could have been a good one to follow.

It’s an okay podcast, but episodes are incredibly brief and often end right as we actually start getting some detail. It’s like the journalists are afraid the audience is too dumb to comprehend more court information? The 3 minute introduction in each episode is unnecessary. The peripheral guests...Read full review »

Amazing podcast about a series called f sickening murders, which tells you all the main facts, and in an interesting way.

It’s an interesting podcast, but the jarring music, tedious repetitive introduction and quite frankly painful robotic reading of the text messages etc really let it down.

Super interesting and thoughtful podcast. The material in this podcast is well presented, and the reporters & guests are clear and insightful…however… the DREADFUL piano motif every 30 seconds makes it almost unbearable to listen to😩 who decided that was a good idea? Also, I’m not sure that...Read full review »

It feels wrong to use the word enjoy on such a tragic topic, but it is so refreshing to hear journalists reporting unbiased facts from the case. So many issues are being raised from this case that are in the public interests to be heard. Well done to the presenters.

Enjoying this well delivered unsensational podcast, very measured and good journalism. The music interlude is dire .. does it go in for every episode ? Spoils the pace of each episode and totally unnecessary !

Informative and balanced coverage of a heart breaking case. The podcast demonstrates the court process in more detail than a newspaper can. The unimaginable grief the poor parents of these tiny babies have lived through, and are having to through again is unimaginable.

Good but the voice overs were dreadful totally robotic. Also the person with the thick accent and lisp who contributed to presenting was not a good voice for a podcast.

Great podcast guys! Aussie listener and I haven’t found another like it. Hopefully we see the end of the trial soon, but it’s awesome to get regular updates as the trial rolls on.

If you take away the constant repetition of what the podcast is about on every episode (being extremely short episodes this is super annoying) and the awful leitmotif it would be fab!
All Animal Rescue & NHS via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 04/02/23
This seems to be coming from a prosecutorial bias. Also, the intro is beyond annoying, where it states “each one of these babies is, or was, someone’s son or daughter…” well that goes without saying. The reporting of the defense contribution to the case is an afterthought.

As a nurse I’ve been following this case with horror. The privilege we hold for caring for patients at their most vulnerable should never be abused. I of course accept that Lucy denies the charges against her. The way this podcast is delivered is informative, accurate, sensitive & explains...Read full review »

Some parts are difficult to listen to, especially when you’ve had premature babies yourself. But an interesting podcast and well put together.

Would be great to have a clearer distinction between the prosecutors case and the defences cases. Enjoying listening from Australia- I hadn’t heard of this case before the podcast.

This podcast just repeats & repeats just go straight into the story. Boring presentation & the music does not suit

This is a great but tough listen; especially if you are a parent. I’ve found my eye filled with a few tears on multiple occasions. Episodes are too short!

How about not referring to a doctor that is a woman as a female doctor. You don’t call the doctors that are men, male doctors. It’s 2023.

I have the utmost respect for these pod-casters; having to remain professional and un-biased throughout must be really hard! The format of this could be so much better, the two hosts lay out what has been said in court, which is great, but they do it in this very contrived swapping on info between them with lots of ‘that’s right Liz’….’yes caroline’ over and over again, which was distracting at first and is now ruining...Read full review »

The podcast itself is very interesting and seems balanced in terms of both prosecution and defence arguments. I would have liked to hear a little more about the psychology behind why someone might harm babies in this manner, but maybe that’s beyond the scope of this particular podcast. The well intentioned podcast is made almost unbearable to listen to due to the unbelievably awful “music” every 30 seconds

Essential listening for a thorough, engaging report on this complex case. You commented this was the first real-time reporting of a court case. The Teacher’s Pet podcast did this in Australia. Podcasts are perfect for in-depth, intelligent reporting.
Highland Kiwi via Apple Podcasts · New Zealand · 02/01/23
I really enjoy how the information is delivered but the episodes are too short. Maybe it’s because you can’t release too many details?!? I wish I had have waited until all the episodes were released before I started listening so I could binge.
