Why does Khalifes defence lawyer sound like he’s a thick northern actor from Emmerdale when his real lawyer is foreign
Natty1965 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/05/24
Felt as though the presenters of the Lucy Letby case were completely biased during the trial when they should have remained neutral.

Khalife says “I’ve never had a girlfriend and don’t do girlfriends.”

This 1 Star review is especially for Rebecca Camber in the episode ‘Gangster’. Disgusting, frothing Daily Mail bias in describing Martyn Blake. She came across more like a member of his family than a journalist. Yes, it was his job. No, it wasn’t a situation in which to take a life.

Appreciate that this podcast came out in real time but now, with the trial over, it’s a very drawn out series. There are probably most succinct podcasts out there that cover the story in just as good detail, and possibly even more detail as they won’t be as restricted by laws presumably seeing as...Read full review »

Caroline and Liz are in my opinion excellent. Reviewers may be forgetting that Lucy Letby has been found guilty. The inquiry is not there to see if she isn’t, she has already been found guilty. The hosts are right to push back on doubters where necessary. Some points are not up for question as...Read full review »

Fascinating listen but as the episodes rolled on, I found the reporting and choice of language subtly biased towards an assumption of guilt which was at odds with the evidence they presented from the court.

Struggling to listen as it’s the same information constantly.

Hi, I have been following your podcasts since the Lucy Letby trial and have loved every one and how much effort has been put in. However I can’t help but notice that the victim focus has been on white women. We know there are similar crimes happening to women of colour (often by white men) and...Read full review »

Really enjoy listening to your podcasts and appreciate the facts you share about what transpires over a trial process.

I can’t find all the episodes since you’ve had a re shuffle of the seasons have had to try and listen in another platform

The new presenter sounds like a year 9 pupil whose been asked to read out loud in an English class for punishment.

I have really enjoyed listening to these series as I travel. Great presentation and editing. Can’t wait to hear more.

Presented as containing lots of new information and that “if you think you know the case-you don’t.” Apart from the tiny fact that a witness had a crush on Lord Lucan-all the rest of the information was known. Disappointed.

Great podcast!

All podcasts up to now have been great. Gripping and I feel a lot of facts and information are given regarding these trials. This last one with Martin and Gordon is a bit frustrating with the episodes that aren’t offering much but chit chat ( I get the court system is mega slow) but I get bored...Read full review »

This has not been good coverage at all and very poor in comparison to the others. The male presenter is awful and it has been all over the place in terms of content. I have had to skip many episodes, until eventually lost interest and stopped following. Will instead watch the news for the...Read full review »

I love this. It’s the closest you can get to being inside a courtroom. Some have complained about it being so long, but these reporters are sitting in trial all day every day, and then coming to make this podcast and tell us about what they heard. I think they do a fantastic job.
JCBinkley via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/17/24
Even though I am also watching the case in the gallery, this is a superb summing up of the day’s events. I wish you could do more podcasts of other cases in parallel to fill in the voids whilst the court is delayed or the jury is out. I really look forward to your new broadcasts.

The two female presenters were great and lovely narrators to listen to however the male presenter on the Constance Martin series was atrocious and speaks unnecessarily fast. A few times after it started I checked to see if I’d pressed one of the speed settings accidentally. Don’t understand why...Read full review »

I think it would be a good idea to have a discussion after the end of proceedings regarding the conduct of the trial, and an analysis of the evidence etc. Prof PeterFleming has in my opinion (retired lawyer) harmed his professional standing by being so adamantly partial to the defendants . Most I...Read full review »

Well reported and really interesting insight into the details of this case. It’s a really sad story with an innocent child at the centre of it all. I’m impressed with the reporting and summary of court transcripts. It’s not down to the journalists that the podcast episodes have been a bit...Read full review »

Good review of the court proceedings. Very easy to follow thanks to the two presenters. Above all, it is the poor baby I feel sorry for.

Listening to the Constance Marten and Mark Gordon series has given me a new perspective on why trials aren't televised in the UK. The way the prosecutors handle the people on trial is frankly disgusting—it's like a theatre to them. Regardless of fault or preventability, the fact remains:...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to each episode and it’s such a contentious subject…….I feel extremely sad for Constance.

Absolutely love the podcast and the work you’ve done. I do find the format quite hard to follow and think making each case a season would help. Such interesting and almost unbelievable cases.
NailsByShiralee via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 03/28/24
There must be evidence & references to the couple’s drug abuse but it’s not being reported upon. Furthermore, the male host keeps speaking in incorrect English. You’re meant to be reporting on a legal case.
Bez238 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/16/24
This is such a thought provoking trial and so well reported. I have watched some of the trial from the public gallery so I know how meticulously they are reporting it. It raises many questions about the Family Courts and the state. And what the jury is and isn’t allowed to know. It has changed my...Read full review »

A very hard podcast to listen to but very well presented and interesting. Difficult to believe that this couple firmly believed they were giving baby Victoria the best of care.

Way to many adverts for a short podcast
RenovatedInk via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/06/24
The other series have been detailed with much longer episodes. The MG/CM episodes are very sporadic and incredibly short with very little detail. A real disappointment.

Interesting to have an insight into courtroom proceedings but the hosts of the pod are sometimes grating. The male host always starting every segue with ‘Yes, that’s right Caroline’ comes across as condescending and lazy.

I get it, everyone needs to make a living but the amount of ads in this podcast now, given the subject matter, is nothing less than crass. The two presenters are clearly great and intelligent reporters but the ads don’t even cut in at the right times and there’s far too many.

The content is great and well handled but I hate the sound effects when sending messages. Given that most people have their phones on silent, and barely anyone has they annoying keyboard sound on, do they really think we need to hear it on a podcast. They’re sending messages, we get it.

I usually enjoy this podcast but the actor voicing Mr Little is insufferable! He sounds nothing like a crown prosecutor would.

I thought this podcast was very interesting and very thorough. The Brinna Ghey podcast is the first one I’ve listened to and I must say I struggled slightly throughout as i felt it was told in such a way to make people feel sorry for the 2 people convicted.
