Description
Christmas is a time when there are huge expectations and we put a lot of pressure on ourselves, so for this episode we decided to chat about what the issues can be and what we can do to make it all a bit easier. We talked about:  ·         Our own Christmases and who we share them with (spoiler alert...Claire’s includes a nap!)  ·         Making things ‘perfect’ and why we feel we have to make it that way.  ·         Seeing everyone at Christmas and feeling we have to cram it all into one day!  ·         What would happen if you didn’t ‘do it all’?  ·         Your inner critic and the importance of not letting it get to you!  ·         Dealing with high expectations and possible judgement at Christmas – how can you make it easier for yourself?  ·         Saying thank you by giving hugs and kisses that might be expected from children at Christmas.  ·         Setting the tone... if people don’t want to be part of it then that’s OK!  Blogs:  Why doesn’t my child show much affection?  How do you get children to appreciate what they have?  Instagram - @bespokefamily / Facebook - @bespokefamily   Bespoke Family 1:1 Parent Consultations: https://www.bespokefamily.co.uk/parent-consultations     ‘Your Guide to...’ (our downloadable webinars) - get 25% off any guide with the code ‘PODCAST’    Hosted on Acast.
