Following the unthinkable murder of Courtney Pieters, the kidnapping of two university students and the brutal events that would follow sent shock waves through the South African community. On the 27th of May 2017- so many lives would forever change and rampant societal issues that plague the country would be once again thrust into the spotlight. And one young woman, only 21 years old with her entire life ahead of her was the focus of the media attention. This is Hannah Cornelius’s story.
