Rance shares the story of how he and his wife, Sheryl, first met. Their first date was for an AZA hayride, in which he was the chairman for the event.

In 1963, at the age of 20, Marlene moved to Allentown and began teaching at the JCC — her "home away from home." The Finkelstein's love for Allentown began to grow, and their entire family became very integral in many organizations all throughout the community.
