Some information, a lot of speculation
While this podcast clearly outlines a timeline and provides some new information, there is much more misinformation relying on speculation and unproven accounts. For example, asking a man with Dementia to recall events from 10 years ago and not prefacing it by saying all recollections are unproven. Using google maps to plot a drive that says it will take approx. 20 mins if not more, but taking the word of a “local” saying tops 15 mins. A retired volunteer fireman is not an “expert” on exploding ammunition. As listeners we are expected to suspend doubt and questions regarding these “facts”, and yet facts given by RCMP are to be met with disbelief and scrutiny. Perhaps draw attention to how the justice system repeatedly fails. Perhaps how laws need to be updated to protect victims of violence. Perhaps a focus on how police are also regulated in what they are able to do, such as obtaining search warrants on little information (neighbour reports seeing a gun, third party reports of abuse). Did RCMP make mistakes? Absolutely. Are they responsible for going on a mass shooting? No. Do we need 13 episodes placing all the blame on RCMP? I don’t.

I am very excited to listen every time a new episode comes out! There is so much information being revealed, and it is great to get the full story. Just a random question though: do all Canadians pronounce “decal (DE-CAL)” as “deckle”? Haha took me forever to figure out what she was talking about!

I enjoyed your podcast very much until the last two episodes. Report the truth! Your podcast appears to be picking and choosing what to report. Mainstream Canadian media has not reported this event accurately, more on the cowardly side. I believe the term is YELLOW! It’s getting ridiculous...Read full review »
