“As soon as I found out about the podcast I started binge listening to it! Tj and Stuart are both very interesting to listen to and they talk about a lot of different topics. I was already a fan of wood and graphite which got me into pencils. So if anyone is looking for a nice podcast to listen to during those winter days I would recommend 1857 in a heartbeat! Please keep them coming! Keep the episodes coming guys! Ps: I will send you a nice letter soon just not sure if TJ would feel bad if I write it with my fountain pen ;)”

“Really like this podcast. Basically two blokes yaddering about pens, pencils and stationery...along with a wider topic every week. The lack of overt advertising/sponsorship is nice as there is no break the flow of the show. Met Stuart at Lichfield Pen show those shorts were a slight to behold!”
