Bittersweet …
This podcast is outstanding. It takes limited poetic license while remaining historically grounded in a way that weaves an engrossing narrative. And that’s why it was so disappointing to see the paywall emerge for the season finale. To be fair, this show absolutely deserves patrons and financial backers: talented people deserve to be compensated for their work. That said, it was the way in which this happened: taking loyal listeners unawares. In the end, I hope it doesn’t cost these talented podcasters many “subscribers.” This is wonderful work and you can tell their heart is in it. The podcasters did wisely agree to make the finale available to all listeners after an initial week where they required a subscription. I hope they soon follow suit with the “inside the episode” episode for the season finale. I hope there is a next season, I’ll be here if there is …

I like the previous format(with Lindsey Graham playing all characters), but I enjoy the multiple voice actors even better. It seems everything he touches is just a instant success.....keep up the great work Lindsey and Wondery and I’ll keep offering my support!!
