“Hi I’m a white woman from South Wales. This constant situation distresses me but I’ll try to give u a white view if I can. I’ve been a teacher for over 20 years motivated because I grew up aware of my privileges and blessings. I love to support and nurture. My joy has always been feeling like I was in a role making a difference. So how after so much time is the world still the same. Every story about abuse experiences in our own country makes me sick and shocked. It makes me frustrated to realise at times like this that for all the legislation on equality and promotion of diversity is lip service by the powers that be. For the regular person on the street nothing really changes. What shocks me is how so many white people just don’t get it. I can’t get my head around the ignorance so the cycle continues. I mainly feel discouraged and helpless. Our country??? We built it together. God I’m furious. If black and brown lives have such less value so clearly then all lives don’t matter. It breaks my heart. Great episode gents thank you. Sorry not sure iv made sense I’m just gutted right now.”
