“In the first episode, the segment with Woo, Weiss, and Benioff was great, as was the interview with a survivor of the cultural revolution. I almost stopped listening whenever one of the hosts tried unsuccessfully to pronounce Ye Wenjie’s name. It’s not “Yay Whingy” or “Yeee Win-jeee”. Especially embarrassing to get it wrong with a Chinese interviewee. Dr. Maggie could dial down the clueless enthusiasm a few notches - Ye Wenjie’s father was not “literally thrown under the bus”, and is “showrunner” really such an unfamiliar term? Hopefully this aspect improves amongst what looks like a good podcast otherwise.”
