Let Them Speak!
Let me start off by saying I love the premise of 3 Books. The guests are intriguing and from all walks of life, so it’s very interesting hearing where they come from and learning what books they recommend. My big problem with the podcast is the host. Neil…for the love of all that is holy, LET YOUR GUESTS SPEAK UNINTERRUPTED! I just finished Chapter 34 with Kevin the bookseller and I lost count of how many times Kevin was speaking and Neil just jumped in throwing off Kevin’s train of thought. It was incredibly frustrating. I was so interested in hearing Kevin’s explanations, but so many times he was never able to finish them. This show could be so much better if Neil would just learn to be a better listener. I’ll continue listening, but not sure how much longer I can tolerate the unnecessary interruptions.

Neil puts heart and soul into everything he does—and he's been working on this show in the background for a LONG time. I trust his book recs and look forward to hearing about them here! You should give it a try, too.Read full review »

Had the privilege of meeting Neil yesterday and he mention his podcast when we were chatting about a private school and my farm. Began listening to it and this podcast is as special as his books. Real and inspiring. Thanks Neil for being real. And we need to go for some poutine soon.
