“I love 50 things ( Tim Harford) and wanted to love this as much but dont. The subject matter is great but the presentation is so disappointing. Patrick is so obviously reading and it sounds like it. He needs to practice sounding like he is just talking ( listen to Tim!). Put the pauses in the right places! Also cut the irritating background music and unnecessary sound effects (F1 car) which make it hard to follow his breathy awkward delivery. And please dont over-introduce. We hear too much about what we are going to be told and why he is so excited about it. Just get on with it and let us be the judge. I try so hard to listen but keep drifting away as i wait for the content to begin/ continue in earnest. Sorry- i hardly ever review and am a big podcast fan but felt provoked”
