“I’m Rene Garza, from Mexico. I met John Chapman in the Frank Gore signing event at the SB in Miami, such great person!
When I was a kid in the 90s, my dad was a Dallas Cowboys super fan. Our family car was a blue and silver Chevrolet Suburban with a giant cowboy star sticker in the back window. He bought me Cowboys shirts, hats, key chains, stickers, everything!
I was so overwhelmed with so many Cowboys things, that I decided to root for a different NFL team and after watching the SB XXIV, I felt in love with the 49ers and I have been a faithful fan ever since.
I had such a great time with my dad every Sunday, we were always making fun of each other’s team when they lost a game, we always bet which team would have the best record for the season.
15 years ago my dad passed away and I miss so much our NFL discussions. Now, I have four kids (3 boys and 1 girl) and they all are 49ers hard core fans.
