“I have been a casual boxing fan for over 15 years but in last two years after finding this show I have become a boxing fanatic.... I now find myself, pre covid, trolling the internet and streaming channels to find a live boxing fix each week.
If I’m not watching it live, I’m watching classics like Gatti v Ward or Holyfield v Tyson, or going down the wormhole of 90s middleweight clashes.
This weekend I found myself reading and watching an excellent documentary about Jonny Tapia. What a Tragic life but wonderful boxer who was robbed in two decisions against Pauli’s Ayala....two wonderful fights though. Be my tip for boxing archive fights to watch.
Would love you guys to do a show about Jonny Tapia and hear your take on his sad life story, boxing, controversy over his drug use and losses and tragic death. In a division not always seen as the must glamorous this guy rarely was in a bad fight and must be up there with one of the best super flyweights of all time for what he did after years away from the sport and what he put his body through while still fighting.
