“First, I have to say that I absolutely love the podcast. Refreshing my feed on a Monday to listen as quickly as possible has become almost a ritual. So thanks to you both.
Last weeks pod was an unusual one for me. I found myself, maybe for the first time ever, taking issue with something Buncey had said. In fact, that happened twice in the same show!
The comment on BJS just having to get on with his career and focus on what he does best...I agree this man has talent, but how many times do we have to forgive this guy saying the most abhorrent nonsense and creating controversial content for clicks just because he’s a decent fighter who isn’t reaching his potential. I lost interest in him simply because of his out-the-ring antics a long time ago and I think boxing should just move on from him.
On Adkins/Estrada...come on Buncey, out of everyone you want to get angry at, you pick the commentators at the event? Anyone involved in the making of that fight should be ashamed. And the worst for me would be the team looking after Adkins. They saw dollar signs and didn’t care one bit about the safety of their fighter. The commentators made it something that it wasn’t, but the people who made the fight put Adkins’ life in danger.”
