“Brilliant report on the controversy surrounding Tyson Fury’s advisor Daniel Kinahan. So heartening from an Irish perspective to see that Steve and Mike went to where many other UK media outlets and podcasters refuse or choose not to go. As Paul Reynolds outlined, the controversy surrounding this mans alleged activities has meant that we Irish boxing fans cannot attend live events in our country and it has denied the Katie Taylor the opportunity the fight in her home country. I understand that many in the boxing world have had experiences that may have led them down the wrong path but this is different. Kinahan is not a boxer and to my knowledge never was. As much as I would love to see Fury/AJ I hope that the broadcasters see sense and demand that all promotion companies prove that they have severed their ties with Kinahan once and for all. This man’s alleged activities have wreaked havoc in the actual communities that our beloved boxers come from. Well done BBC on allowing this discussion to happen on this week’s Pod!
