Description
David, while battling a cold, tells Eric what he has seen in North Port as the Braves held a full squad workout. Spencer Strider threw live BP and shocked onlookers with what seems to a be new pitch in his arsenal. Hear an in-depth conversation on what a curveball could like to a pitcher that threw fastballs and sliders 93% of the time. (15:00) Jarred Kelenic is making a good impression with his new teammates while getting what seems to be a welcomed case of new scenery. Kelenic's season last year in Seattle was marred by a broken foot after kicking a water cooler in frustration. (25:15) Marcell Ozuna has been taking reps at 1B in workouts and indications are he will see some Grapefruit League action there. Ozuna is expected to be back at DH this season, but could see a few starts at 1B this season on a rare Matt Olson day off. (30:00) David relays his conversation with Ian Anderson, who is coming off of Tommy John surgery last April. He is expected to return to the mound in middle of the summer. This then launches into handicapping the latest with the entire pitching staff. (41:30) Believe it or not, the Braves play the Rays on Saturday. There first game at their complex will be Sunday afternoon vs. the Red Sox. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
