The Heenan Family was a stable of wrestlers managed by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Heenan managed wrestlers under the Heenan Family name in the AWA, NWA, and the WWF. The role of the wrestling manager reached it's peak in the 1980's. Their job included speaking on the mic, working up the crowd, distracting the ref, and even interferring in matches on behalf of their wrestlers.
