“Good elements: An interesting premise with plenty of potential subplots to explore. The acting is mostly pretty solid.
Annoying elements:
- Almost none of the subplots are explored in a meaningful way.
- The one subplot that is explored is done so in the most predictable manner you can imagine.
- The main character is a well-acted Mary Sue. He’s a handsome, well-hung, friend to everyone but the stuffed shirts, who can solve almost everyone’s problems in an episode or two, and even demons want to help him.
- Overly reliant on tired tropes - memos to an unseen’Diane’, a gruff boss with a heart of gold, frequent slurping to let you know that someone is drinking something.
- The two IT characters are cringeworthy cliches.
I’ll come back for season two because of the promise but hopefully the creators will take a writing class.”
