On July 23, 1999 the star-filled remake of THE HAUNTING would open #1 at the box office but it would be the horror film that opened a week later whose legacy lives on. We debate the merits of the amateur camera crew but professional actors wandering the woods in THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT compared to the likes of Lili Taylor, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Liam Neeson and if either of these films have survived the initial backlash... one to quickly dated CGI effects, the other to snot rocket tears.
