Sometimes, All You Need Is A Friendly Kick In Your Pants
Fairly new to David DuChemin’s books and podcasts but really love the simple and down to earth wisdom and challenges presented in either. Just now finished listening to Hard Beginnings in the Beautiful Anarchy podcast and appreciated the gems discussed and the tribute to Johann Von Goethe’s writings, of which are new to me also. (Thanks David and thanks Johann!) Begin bold, begin ugly or begin small but for heaven’s sake begin! (me paraphrasing just a small part of the gist) Working through Dave’s, “The Soul of the Camera” and also “ Your F should Be 5” and love them both although I don’t read like I used to or as much since being spoiled by computer screen access. They too are read on my computer but maybe I can actually finish them with the help of my new iPad. Anyways, get this creative wisdom anyway you can because you’ll be all the better for it and I would think without any regrets. Now that’s a kick in the pants worth it’s weight in gold!

More reviews of A Beautiful Anarchy
I love David duChemin’s new podcast, A Beautiful Anarchy. David gets right to the heart of issues that artists—and all people—face, such as authenticity, perfectionism and time management. The podcast is also less that 15 minutes, the perfect bite-size instruction and motivation that I need.

I've followed David's work for years, and the podcasts are a great addition - sometimes it's that little push I need to get me out the door working. Thank you David.Read full review »

I let go of the pursuit for perfection years ago, very freeing. Thanks for taking the time to do these podcasts.
