We are living in a very fragile, vulnerable time. The innocent death of George Floyd this past week has broken the heart of our country. This is a time to use our voices and stand up for what we believe in. Racism exists. Police brutality does exist. We live in a world filled with hate. I don’t have all the answers and I do not know what it’s like experiencing this world as a black person but I do know some things must change and love conquers all things. In episode 67 of A Drop of Sunshine podcast, we interrupt normal programming to address racism and what has to change. Protests that lead to violence, hatred, vandalism and burning down buildings only leads to more hatred and the opposite of what we’re trying to accomplish. We need to use our voices for call to actions to actually get a solution to the problem, whatever that may be. It starts in our home.. checking our own hearts and what we exemplify to our children. That is far more powerful than sitting them down to have a conversation.
