Description
Hello everyone and welcome to A Pretty Normal Podcast, a show that re-imagines what society considers normal. Each week I interview different guests about the topics they’re most passionate about. This week I had the opportunity of interviewing Abena Motaboli, a Chicago based, South African educator, facilitator, project manager, writer and visual artist. Her art practice is performative, contemplative, and transformative. Known for her intricate plastic installations and meditative line-work found in her paintings, she is Influenced by her home country of Lesotho and Southern African culture. She uses a variety of ephemeral material such as plastic, tea, dirt, coffee, and charcoal to comment on displacement, past memories, and the culture of creating. You can connect with Abena Motaboli on Instagram @abenaartand check out her website at www.abenaart.com/Subscribe to the show and follow us on Facebook // Instagram // Twitter // YoutubeRemember to leave us a rating and review if you enjoy the content brought to you every week.
