Today is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, on the Jewish calendar. On Rosh Hashanah, it is tradition to say “It is written”; then, on Yom Kippur, to say, “It is sealed.” The idea is that the stage is set during this time for everything that's going to happen in the year to come.
