This is part two of a three part series. Part one can be found on the November 15, 2019 episode entitled "When Justice Fails." William, a former deputy sheriff, was sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. Prosecutor offers were presented. William declined each one. Why? At the age of 19,Joseph began serving a 30-year sentence for committing second degree murder with the possibility of parole after 10 years. He has served eight. Joseph was living in a mental state of condemnation for what he had done, and the guilt was overwhelming. Yet, Joseph didn’t want the ordinary prison life of gangs, drugs and violence so he sought something different. He found it in solitary confinement.
