Incredible and vital
Just like Reni’s book, this podcast takes the complex topic of race, and the persistently pervasive issue of racism, focussing on often erased, overlooked or forgotten elements, to bring together a hard-hitting, digestible and understandable lesson. I am in awe of Reni’s ability to cover such a lot, so thoroughly, in such an accessible way, in such short episodes. I am so glad a show like this has been invested in, it makes the vital work that white people like me need to do in seeing, understanding, critiquing and dismantling white supremacy, a much more tangible task.

This podcast uses terms like “people of colour”, which would appear to single out whites. I think this rhetoric is divisive. Irritating post production backing tracks with silly sound effects and loud music further detract from minimal unsubstantiated content.

2 episodes in and I'm completely hooked! Great production, editing, interviews, and awesome selection of guests! I'm learning that I knew much less than I originally thought! Highly recommend!Read full review »
