While we know that statin treatment reduces the risk of stroke, heart attack and heart deaths in people at moderate-to-high risk, or with high cholesterol, in REPRIEVE statins decreased the risk in those at low-to-moderate risk, and with 'normal' cholesterol levels who would not usually be considered candidates for treatment.   In this interview, Pamela S.
