Motivational and Understanding
Dear Angela, I love your podcast! I listen to you everyday while I’m driving. I often listen to repeats of my favourite motivational castings like the What’s inside your hula hoop, Relapse is a Choice and Playing Victim will ruin your sobriety. I love how you coach to the perspective of empowering ones self and being conscience of the Committee and The Bear! I didn’t realize I was an alcoholic until I heard one podcast featuring a guest speaker that said ‘ I’m an alcoholic because when I drink I make decisions that I wouldn’t make in my sober mind’..... that is me 100%. Deep down I obviously knew I had a problem or I wouldn’t have started listening :) I have admitted it to myself and am 12 days clean and sober. I will continue to battle this on my own for now as I’m not comfortable yet reaching out face to face to anyone, but I have joined the Facebook group and if I feel the committee is pulling me too hard I promise I will reach out on FB. I will be successful because I will not make the choice to relapse! I have since shared with another friend that is battling....she is loving them as well. I have shared your Hula Hoop episode with a few of my other friends explaining that is not just for people with addictions but also to those that need some motivation and life coaching and just a different perspective on life that will keep us grounded. Please keep doing them! More then once a week would be awesome! I would love to hear more about how difficult it is in the beginning, soon after quitting, about retraining your body and brain to function on their own. Also tips and tricks on how to get an escape from pressures of life without drugs and alcohol, meditation, yoga, exercise, positive affirmations, etc. Best practices are always helpful! Keep up the great work Angela, we are listening and look forward to each new launch! I will continue to tell the committee to shut the f%*k up! Thanks to you and the simple explanation that allows me to implement simple rules to stay on track!! Seeing more clearly, yours truly, Lisa:)

Angela podcast is the most inspiring podcast I have listened to both in the sober community as well as a positive life skill podcast. I even tell my non sober friends to listen because she is full of great advise and tips for living a happy life. As a young sober person I never thought I could...Read full review »
