My Childhood in a Podcast
As a Gen Xer (kid in the 80’s, teenager in the early 90’s) this podcast really hits that nostalgia sweet spot. Mike is super knowledgeable and seems to have a real affinity for the stuff he covers. My favorite part is that in addition to specials and movies, he also covers specific holiday episodes of TV shows. I love that I can listen to many episodes over and over again, like a favorite holiday special. The guests are a little hit or miss, most are great- knowledgeable and excited for the topic- but there have been a few who seem a little bored, boring, a little too giggly because they don’t have anything to say, or the worst- a little too “over it.” There have been a few that have been unlistenable and sadly I avoid episodes where I see those guests are back. Can’t wait to see what this season brings!

This podcast is doing the lord’s work. It covers holiday specials for every conceivable holiday every episode with fun guests and lots of extra trivia and info dropped. Mike is a great host and does his research before every show making it fun and informative.
