Not only was the desert vastly different from the lush, rainforest-like Appalachian Mountains he grew up in, but it was one of the driest summers on record in Arizona, making the adjustment even more challenging. He dealt with sun poisoning, lack of water, and extreme heat.  His next adventure will be quite literally on the opposite end of the spectrum...crossing glaciers in Norway.  Learn more about Jacob:  www.ValhallaHikes.com  Jacob’s Instagram: @vertboyval Our Sponsors: * Check out Shopify and use my code asp for a great deal: https://www.shopify.com/ * Check out Tecovas and use my code ADVENTURE for a great deal: http://www.tecovas.com * Check out The Wonderful Company: https://www.wonderfulpistachios.com/ Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/adventure-sports-podcast/donations Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
