“This is fun podcast about what can be a boring subject. To make it more interesting, try taking a drink every time:
1) Paula ends a list with “blah blah blah blah blah”
2) J Money makes a self-deprecating remark
In seriousness, the strength of this podcast rests in the personal finance strategies employed by the co-hosts. Between the two, I relate more to J. Money. He represents the point of view of those of us who have identified financial freedom as goal to be achieve with investments but who still have 5-10 years to go. In other words, he offers advice for those of us who have the goal in sight but are just starting the race. I value his investigative spirit in finding new ways to save or invest or think about possessions. Paula, on the other hand, has achieved her financial and presumably her personal goals in her own way and is proud of these accomplishments. At first, I found her air of self-satisfaction off-putting, as though she had more important things to do with her time than participate in a podcast. However, I believe this is more a factor of a poor first impression? Unlike other reviewers, I have not heard her on other podcasts. There are moments where she seems sincerely interested in the discussion and wants to share a perspective that represents the entrepreneurs and real-estate moguls in the audience.
Between the two of them, there is something for everyone in this podcast. I listen avidly and repeatedly for ideas, inspiration, and reassurance. Give the podcast a shot, without or without a brew.”
