My eight year old was secretly listening to your second program, while he appeared to be playing a video game, and asked what I thought was an astute question:
“Why is that guy talking about big companies acting badly and the advertising for other big companies that probably rip people off.”
Good question! I was wondering the same thing.
LinkedIn and a toothbrush company? And what toothbrush does the ADA NOT endorse? And isn’t LinkedIn part of the very same oligarchy you are complaining about.
I appreciate your journalism, but the rage I’m supposed to feel gets sadly diluted by the huckster/insider feel of this podcast.
Oh and one last thing: in the first episode you mentioned how NBA referees could earn 500k if they were good and got the best games. You said:” there are easier ways to make that kind of money without people yelling at you.” Really? Which jobs are those? For the millions of minimum wage workers who are routinely made to feel unvalued, this statement was seriously out of touch to anyone outside of the 1%.”
