Dr. Torrie A. Cropps is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Agricultural Sciences, Education, and Communication at Purdue University. She is the second black woman to receive her doctorate in Agricultural Sciences Education and Communications from Purdue University. Torrie received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and her Master of Science in Agricultural Education from THE illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Torrie has four years of professional experience in education. She also has eight years of experience working with various summer enrichment programs. Torrie’s research interests include critical qualitative research focused on the mentoring, socialization, and imposter syndrome experienced by Black women in agricultural and life science disciplines.
