A Bloomberg Distinguished Professor in electrical, computer, and biomedical engineering, he is also the chief scientist at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Assured Autonomy and a member of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. A Fellow of both the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the National Academy of Inventors, Chellappa holds eight patents.
