Episode 015 Learning Qur'an
Listen now
Description
In this episode I'm joined by Hiba Malik, a mum of 3 and Pharmacist. Hiba is originally from Syria and has memorized the entire Qur’an, alhamdullilah. She also has an Ijaza in the way of Hafs. The meaning of “Ijazah in Quran” is to have a certificate from an authenticated “Sheikh” who has an Ijazah certificate to recite the Quran by heart with tajweed. The purpose of ijazah is to establish narration with a chain of transmissions (isnad). This chain goes all the way back to the Prophet (pbuh) and Allah (swt). She has been teaching Tajweed in various local classes to children and adults for 10 years.
