“I love scripted podcasts. The ensemble of voice actors, the worlds they create through sound effects - there’s so much creative opportunity in the space. Alice Isn’t Dead, however, is more akin to an audio book, where one narrator is reading everything... at least I think so. If there are multiple voice actors, I can’t tell them apart. I’m honestly so confused by who the narrator is representing at any given time. And then the writing... dear lord, it’s trying so hard to be taken seriously, it’s like an 8 year old boy puffing up his chest to try and fit in with the big kids. Wanted to like it, but it’s turning out to be a waste of time.”
