“I have to say great information on credit cards, SIM cards , emailing hotels but there a but sorry I disagree on a few points on travel. I know many people think if you buy with a third party and they tell you they can’t help you on refunds ( Covid cancellation) or in general, and you will lose all or a percentage of it. Guess what that is not true. You have the right to call the property directly and advice that you are canceling due to Covid flight cancellation or “I broke my leg” ect.... The hotel, car company or land tours booked will cancel. They may ask for proof but they will cancel. Proof will be your hospital paperwork or flight cancellations email and or details. It’s a lot of work but you will get your money back. Remember you can’t make up a reason it has to be a true and legit reason. They will check and call if necessary. This is why you should use a great travel agent he/ she will do it all for you. They will sit on that phone and get it all done. Travel agents are your best way to book any of your trip. I have to date with the help of my great travel agent received all my money back for hotels, land tours, cruises, cars every time in full. Airlines will only give you a refund if they cancel the flight if not you will have to follow the rules of the ticket you purchase. I am only giving a 3 star for this episode because the travel information lacks the information most people don’t know. Great podcast in general keep it up.
