“First listen: Augustine episode 2020. I was today years old when I listened to it on the recommendation of a friend.
I was expecting Scripture, but I got story, encouragement, formation on how I think about my very self and others... I am reminded of an examin that hits home. But also the sense that I’m not alone in my own struggles. I have saint upon saint that help make me a saint.
In short, Dr. Sri is gold. He’s balanced, well formed and informed, and he offers PRIMARY sources... not just some hearsay legends or a Wikipedia search... but also he prays. And cares, and ultimately, in short, has something to offer (clarity often). You can just tell... but simple language... but profound in its simplicity. You don’t have to be a scholar to love a good scholar’s work. :)”
