Description
Shane Barker is the Co-Founder & CEO of Content Solutions, a creative agency that focuses on digital strategy and content marketing. Prior to launching Content Solutions, Shane served as the VP of Sales and Marketing at ZBodyFitness, VP of Digital Marketing at Kamere, and CMO at Modera. He also teaches personal branding at UCLA, hosts the Marketing Growth Podcast, and writes for a number of publications. In this episode, Shane and I examine how the creator economy has changed over the past decade. We discuss measurement and reporting improvements in influencer marketing, the rise of FTC disclosure requirements, and the cultural shift from fans viewing branded content as creators “selling out” to earning a living. Finally, we explain why building a personal brand is more important than ever before, especially given the changing nature of work and the opportunity for employees to serve as brand advocates.
