Saks is not as good as he needs to be
Good podcasts out there for the topic and what it is. Not as fact-based or research based as some others, but it’s VERY contemporary and very candid. If I could press a button and make David Saks’ voice disappear, I would give five stars. He’s not a bad guy, he’s just doesn’t put as much rigor or discipline into his comments. Maybe he just doesn’t have enough time to present his opinions without his emotions getting in the way? I always like hearing the opinions from other sides and I understand the argument that the United States is really 50 different small countries all of which whom should be allowed to go their own direction. I personally prefer people that put more effort into the drivers of their thinking. It’s really hard to do and it’s rare, and it can gets bogged down if it becomes too self-reflective. But what Sacks provides right now is not sharp enough. Maybe it’s a time constraint thing, or maybe he’s just been so successful this way he sees no reason to change. I enjoy listening to the thought process of the group. And who knows, without him, providing his point of view maybe the podcast would bog down.
