After working with the Lebanese government for many years, Ziad Hayek discusses with Alternative Frequencies host Bilal El-Amine the key problems posed by the existing system of governance, as well as some solutions that can improve the economy and the functioning of the state. A former investment banker, Ziad Alexandre Hayek was Secretary General of the Republic of Lebanon's High Council for Privatization and Public-Private Partnership from 2006 until he was nominated to be President of the World Bank in February 2019. Hayek is currently Vice Chair of the Bureau of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Working Party on PPP, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, and High Commissioner for Lebanon at the World Business Angels Investment Forum.
