“Hi there. I like your show but you need to check your facts. I am an avid cruiser. I want Canada to be open to cruise ships as soon as it is safe. The USA has approximately 9 times the population of Canada. Today (February 5) Canada has 21,000 Covid deaths. Multiply that by 9 if we had the same population as the U.S. 189,000 approximately. The USA today has 456,000 deaths. This difference is partly due to the borders being closed. Look how well Australia is doing because they have even more strict measures in place. Not one more person needs to die if we all do our part. Therefore, I appreciate my government doing their best to protect. If I selfishly go cruise and then infect someone who dies I would never forgive myself. Yep the travel industry is suffering but we just can’t open everything and exacerbate the problem. I keep having cruises cancelled too but oh well! Anyways please don’t run down Canadians because we are trying to do the right thing and please check your facts.”
