“Ingredients:
12 tablespoons salted butter - browned
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cups chopped chocolate chunks- do not buy premade chucks, get the baking bars & chop. 50/50 semi sweet & milk chocolate for extra deliciousness
Flakey sea salt for finishing
Brown the butter. Save those little extra browned bits for flavor! Let cool before using (about 15-30m in the fridge in a heat proof container)
Mix wet ingredients - sugars, butter, eggs, vanilla until combined
Mix in the dry until dough ball forms
Add in hand chopped chocolate chunks & mix until evenly combined
Form dough balls - optional: refrigerate for 30m+ before baking
Bake on 375 degrees for 10m on parchment paper/silicon lined baking sheet
Finished with flakey sea salt when fresh out the oven
