Description
Jen and Noam return after a small Hamas-induced hiatus to discuss the horrifying situation in Israel, history, the stated purpose of Hamas, what the “free Palestine” movement is really about, why the modern state of Israel exists, Jen getting shouty about how pro-Palestine activists don't care about Palestinians, examining pictures of dead babies and murder scenes, and some other things we’re probably forgetting. It’s been a long week and a half.  Ambitious Crossover Attempt has a Twitch channel! Hooray! More streaming for us (and you)! We are working on creating a streaming schedule, but for now, make sure to follow us on Twitter for updates. https://www.twitch.tv/ambitiousxover  Show notes This is the Tablet project that Noam has been working on this past week - collecting stories from survivors, family members, and ordinary people who saved lives during the Hamas massacre: https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/israel-middle-east/articles/testimonies-archive-voices-from-israel   The hadith that Noam mentioned from the Hamas charter: "The Day of Judgment will not come until Muslims fight the Jews, when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say, 'O Muslim, O servant of God, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.' Only the Gharkad tree would not do that, because it is one of the trees of the Jews." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas_Charter#:~:text=It%20quotes%20a%20saying%20of,%2C%20come%20and%20kill%20him.'
