Republican propaganda
That’s what this is ultimately. There’s not way to sugar coat it. Praising Reagan as the main contributor of the fall of the Soviet Union is not only laughable, but dangerous. Because it misses all the other changes he pushed in the US that ultimately led to the greatest gap in wealth and income inequality we’ve ever had in history. Be careful. This podcast is propaganda subtly masked as a relatively well researched effort. The worst kind of propaganda. It could have been saved if the narrator would have put into context the cost of America’s actions, the other things Republicans pushed for. It was too focused on solely the Cold War with no other disclaimers. I would even dare to say that you can’t disprove that the Soviet Union lost the Cold War despite republicans not because of them, neither Margaret Thatcher, and Pope Francis. The ending was kind of laughable.

More reviews of The Cold War
Narrator uses crass language not worthy of the class and significance of the topic material. You probably shouldn’t listen with young children who could/should be inspired by the story.

The space race was never that big a point of interest to me. After this podcast, I now want to go to the Moon!
