“These podcasts are an interesting selection of very high quality short plays from the 40's and 50's. At that time, radio led in providing mass entertainment and these plays are generally of a very high standard. Unlike many of the restored and repackaged audio pieces on the internet, these podcasts have been well edited and the audio has been tidied up to remove most of the distracting distortion and degradation. There are no interruptions for adverts from companies that no longer exist or for products that might have been relevant sixty years ago. In my view, the content is better tailored for a contemporary audience and it is possible to focus on the theatre, acting and stories rather than the historical aspects of the production. Thank you Mr Schell for producing excellent entertainment.”
